  • Where do I turn my water off to the house?

This is vital in the event of a burst pipe or any other unforeseen emergency. If you are going away on vacation, turn off the water main.

  • What are some Green options for my home?

Installing low flush toilets will help conserve water as they use about ½ the amount of a regular toilet. Also, installing low-flow showerheads and faucets will also reduce your water usage. A simple aerator in your faucet will conserve water too. Tankless water heaters provide instant hot water and savings, eliminating the need for a tank. Lower the thermostat on your water heater.

  • Why does my water look yellow and rusty?

This is due to the age of the galvanized pipes. Over time, the pipes become rusty and get a build-up of rust/iron oxide. The only way to rectify this is to replace the old pipes.

  • Why is my water pressure low?

One reason may be the age of the pipes. As they get older, the build-up of rust or iron oxide causes them to close up over time and causes the diameter of the pipe to lessen, which restricts the flow of water through them.  The best solution is to replace your old piping.
